Planning a Wedding Shoot in Lagos: Timing, Traffic, and Light

Build the day around the light

The most flattering natural light in Lagos lives between 7:00 and 9:30 in the morning and 4:30 to 6:30 in the evening. We plan couple portraits for golden hour whenever the timeline allows.

Respect the traffic

  • Add at least 45 minutes of buffer between venues on the mainland and the Island.
  • Schedule prep photography at the getting-ready location nearest the ceremony.
  • If your reception is far from the ceremony, we photograph family formals before guests move.
  • The shortlist that saves time

A family photo list agreed before the day keeps formals under twenty minutes. We send every couple a simple template four weeks out.

    Rain plans are not pessimism

From April to October, we scout covered alternatives at every venue. Some of our favourite frames have happened under awnings while the rain passed.

    Your next step

Use the Plan your shoot page to generate a personalised preparation plan, and we will refine it together at your consultation.
