What to Wear for Your Lagos Portrait Session

What to Wear for Your Lagos Portrait Session

Start with how you want to feel

Before we talk colours, we ask one question: how do you want to feel when you look at these photographs in ten years? Confident? Soft? Regal? Your wardrobe should serve that feeling first.

Colours that love the camera

  • Rich, solid tones — wine, emerald, navy, mustard — photograph beautifully against our warm studio backdrops.
  • Avoid tiny busy patterns and thin stripes; they can shimmer on camera.
  • If you are shooting as a couple or family, coordinate tones rather than matching exactly.
  • Fabrics and fit

Structured fabrics hold their shape and read as polished. Flowing fabrics — silk, chiffon, organza — add movement and romance. Whatever you choose, make sure you can sit, walk, and laugh in it. Comfort shows on your face.

    Bring options

We always recommend two to three outfits for a standard session. We will help you choose on the day, and our Signature package includes time for two looks.

    Final thought

The best outfit is the one that lets you forget about it. When you feel like yourself, the camera simply keeps up.
